TGI Fridays
An iconic brand synonymous with quality, fun and flair.
TGI Fridays offers authentic American food, an innovative cocktail list and a high level of personal service.
Established as TGI Fridays in 1965 in the US, and inspired by the Barnum & Bailey Circus, founder Alan Stillman was determined to put on the ‘greatest show on earth’, and the red & white striped phenomenon was born… famous for its cocktails, legendary atmosphere and charismatic bartenders.
In 2020, Hostmore refreshed TGI Fridays’ customer offering around three core pillars:
-
Quality: Improved quality with new menus and improved dish execution, industry-leading customer service driving consumer retention and a plan for live entertainment
-
Relevance: Food and drink relevant to customers in today’s market, with better menu specification, sustainable sourcing of ingredients and improved nutritional value
-
Simplicity: Simplified menu, streamlined restaurant operating processes and business solutions platforms delivering efficiencies and real focus on the customer
A new ‘Famous at Fridays’ offer trialled successfully from July 2020 at 13 restaurants around the UK, with new and improved menus, ‘classic’ cocktails, updated interiors and a simplified service plan all resonating positively with consumers.
Hostmore has also implemented its ‘4D Strategy’ to re-energise the TGI Fridays offering and customer relationships through new initiatives so customers can experience the TGI Fridays brand across a number of channels:
-
Dine In: American themed, drinks-led restaurants with dedicated cocktail bars, providing a fun and quality experience in a casual dining environment
-
Delivery: Prepared food and drinks delivered by TGI Fridays or through third party aggregators
-
Digital: TGI Fridays getting fit for the future. High quality ‘to home’ comfort offering for pre-packaged food and drinks
-
Drive-In: Longer-term opportunity to develop drive-thru sites and curbside delivery
Underpinned by Development: opportunities for the platform to expand.
TGI Fridays has a diversified and balanced estate portfolio of 86 sites across the UK with further sites in development.
